Job Summary

The Billing Senior Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant billing operations across regional and global accounts. This role requires strong analytical skills, autonomy, and cross-functional collaboration to resolve complex billing issues and drive operational improvements. The analyst also supports system enhancements, reporting, customer support, and tax compliance, contributing to the overall efficiency and integrity of the billing function.

Responsibilities

Billing Operations

  • Ensure monthly billing is completed accurately and in accordance with the close calendar.

  • Process billing adjustments with proper authorization and documentation.

  • Manage manual EPS invoices and PWO quotes.

  • Review invoices and perform variance analysis with required approvals.

  • Coordinate monthly invoice runs and support month-end close activities.

  • Lead billing efforts for regional and global accounts.

Project Management

  • Participate in projects and ad hoc assignments.

  • Provide documentation for external audits.

  • Perform AR transfers and reconciliations during month-end close.

  • Lead small-scale projects to improve billing processes.

System and Process Efficiencies

  • Implement and document SOX-compliant processes and procedures.

  • Support the development and maintenance of billing systems and policies.

  • Identify and propose improvements to systems and operations.

  • Process service requests accurately and within SLA timelines.

  • Monitor CRM and Universal Work Queues, reassigning tasks as needed.

  • Validate billing data against executed contracts.

Reporting

  • Generate and file reports required for SOX controls.

  • Create and distribute management reports.

  • Coordinate regional and global reporting efforts.

Customer Support

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve customer billing inquiries.

  • Investigate and address billing issues, working with upstream teams to correct root causes.

  • Act as first-line support for approval requests and deal inquiries.

  • Lead customer support efforts regionally or globally.

Tax Compliance

  • Apply knowledge of local and global tax regulations to ensure billing accuracy.

  • Collaborate with tax and finance teams to validate tax treatment on invoices.

  • Support audits and reporting related to tax compliance.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to operate in high-demand finance environments with precision and accountability.

  • Knowledge of local and global tax regulations related to billing.

  • Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).

  • Advanced Excel skills and fluency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience with billing systems and process optimization.

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
