Your primary responsibility is to build evidence‑based workplace strategies that translate enterprise objectives into actionable spatial, operational, and experience‑driven outcomes. This role places strong emphasis on analyzing quantitative and qualitative workplace data—space utilization, occupancy patterns, headcount forecasts, collaboration trends, and employee sentiment—to create clear, measurable workplace recommendations.

You will act as a trusted advisor within Corporate Real Estate, partnering closely with Regional Operations, Design Teams, Program Managers, and cross‑functional groups including HR, IT, Finance, Communications, and external partners. You will ensure workplace strategies are analytical, scalable, and grounded in data, supporting both near‑term business needs and long‑term portfolio planning.

Responsibilities

Strategic Workplace Planning

  • Develop robust workplace strategies grounded in quantitative data, including space utilization studies, occupancy analytics, capacity modelling, and demand forecasting

  • Ensure all projects begin with a clear, data‑validated workplace vision, strategy, and brief

  • Translate business objectives, headcount plans, and organizational models into evidence‑based spatial scenarios and strategic briefs

Workplace Discovery & Analytics

  • Analyze data on space use, collaboration patterns, mobility, and employee experience, synthesizing complex datasets into actionable insights

  • Develop dashboards, reports, and analytical models to communicate trends and guide decision‑making

Scenario Modelling & Capacity Planning

  • Build space calculation models, headcount capacity plans, demand models, and future‑state scenarios to support strategic planning across regions and portfolios

  • Conduct gap analyses to identify space deficits, surpluses, and optimization opportunities

  • Provide strategic oversight of block and stack diagrams, test‑fits, and design proposals to ensure alignment with evidence‑based capacity and utilization insights

Program & Change Strategy

  • Partner with Operational Leaders to understand project constraints, budgets, and timelines, ensuring analytics underpin all early‑stage decisions

  • Design and deliver data‑informed change management strategies supporting new ways of working

  • Identify stakeholder impacts, readiness levels, and behavioral shifts validated through pre‑ and post‑occupancy data

Engagement & Communication

  • Create engagement plans supported by data‑driven narratives, including leadership alignment materials, toolkits, playbooks, and workforce communications

  • Prepare analytical content for project steering groups, CRE leadership reviews, and business stakeholder updates

Continuous Improvement & Standards

  • Lead post‑occupancy evaluations, capturing utilization and performance metrics to inform continuous improvement cycles and QBRs

  • Contribute to the evolution of Workplace Strategy frameworks, ensuring methodologies for data collection, analytics, and utilization modelling remain current and scalable

  • Embed Equinix priorities—wellbeing, inclusion, accessibility, sustainability, resilience, and security—into measurable workplace outcomes

Key Competencies
