Job Summary

We are seeking a visionary and driven leader to define and deliver the Strategic Accounts strategy across APAC, overseeing a portfolio of 12 top-tier client relationships and leading a high-performing regional sales team. These accounts represent Equinix’s most critical partnerships, making this role pivotal in driving long-term retention, accelerating growth, and positioning Equinix as the trusted partner in the digital infrastructure ecosystem.

As Senior Director, you will set the strategic direction, lead day-to-day engagement, and ensure operational alignment across functions. You will cultivate deep relationships with senior stakeholders, anticipate risks, and orchestrate innovative solutions that deliver exceptional outcomes and continuous improvement. This highly visible role demands strategic vision, influential leadership, and the ability to navigate complexity in a fast-paced, competitive regional market.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Own and execute the APAC Strategic Account strategy aligned with Equinix’s go-to-market priorities and regional growth objectives

  • Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop a team of Strategic Account Managers responsible for new logo acquisition and expansion within existing accounts

  • Revenue Growth: Drive regional revenue performance through disciplined planning, execution, and impactful customer engagement

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Pre-Sales Engineering, Customer Success, Marketing, Product, and Partner teams to ensure multi-threaded relationships and deal success

  • Sales Excellence: Oversee end-to-end sales cycles, providing guidance on qualification, strategy, and execution frameworks

  • Operational Rigor: Manage pipeline health, forecast accuracy, and sales activity metrics while ensuring data integrity across Salesforce and related tools

  • Executive Engagement: Act as an executive sponsor for high-value opportunities, reinforcing Equinix’s value proposition with senior customer stakeholders

  • Culture Building: Foster a culture of performance, accountability, collaboration, and continuous development within the Strategic Accounts team

  • Solution Expertise: Maintain strong knowledge of Equinix’s solutions and enable the team to articulate business value across all solution pursuits

Knowledge & Experience

  • Proven success in building and leading high-performing sales teams that consistently exceed targets

  • Strong command of sales qualification methodologies and pipeline management discipline

  • Deep business acumen in Cloud, Hyperscalers, and Global Accounts

  • Extensive network and ability to engage with C-level executives across APAC

  • Demonstrated experience in cultivating long-term strategic client relationships

  • Skilled in solving complex challenges, creating innovative solutions, and driving growth through strategic account planning

  • Excellent understanding of APAC regional markets and competitive dynamics

Qualifications

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in strategic account management or enterprise sales leadership roles

  • Confidence in operating within a matrix-managed organization

  • Tenacity, resilience, and emotional intelligence to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills; bilingual proficiency in English and Putonghua is a plus

  • Proven ability to inspire and lead high-performing teams with strong accountability and collaboration

  • Resourceful and agile in an accelerated transformation environment

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree required; MBA preferred

  • Strong influencing skills and executive presence
