Job Summary
The Director of Marketing Operations will lead the strategic and operational backbone of our B2B marketing organization. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, financial stewardship, marketing effectiveness, and scalable processes that enable performance and growth. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with a passion for process optimization, change leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.
This position will manage a distributed team with direct reports across multiple regions, ensuring global alignment while respecting local market needs.
Responsibilities
Financial Management
Own the marketing budget planning, forecasting, and reporting processes
Partner with Finance and Marketing leadership to ensure accurate budget allocation and spend tracking
Develop financial models to support ROI analysis, investment decisions, and resource prioritization
Monitor and optimize marketing spend efficiency across campaigns, programs, and initiatives
Lead the implementation and management of financial tools and systems that support marketing operations
Drive change management and communication strategies to ensure successful adoption of financial processes and tools across teams
Process Optimization, Governance & Marketing Effectiveness
Lead the design and rollout of standardized marketing processes that support scale, consistency, and efficiency
Implement best practices for campaign execution, lead management, and performance measurement
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational workflows and reduce time-to-market
Establish governance frameworks for data quality, compliance, and workflow optimization
Oversee the selection, implementation, and ongoing management of workflow tools that support marketing execution
Champion change management and internal communications to ensure process changes are understood, adopted, and sustained across global teams
Collaborate with stakeholders such as Finance, Field Marketing, Brand, Events, Revenue Operations, and IT to align on processes and operating models
Develop and maintain frameworks to measure and improve marketing effectiveness across channels, programs, and regions
Additional Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a high-performing Marketing Operations team across multiple regions
Define and track KPIs to measure operational success and marketing impact
Serve as a strategic advisor to marketing leadership on operational planning and execution
Develop and execute communication plans to support organizational alignment and transparency around operational initiatives
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in Marketing Operations or related fields, with at least 5 years in leadership roles
Proven expertise in financial management within a marketing context
Experience implementing and managing financial and workflow tools (e.g., budgeting platforms, project management systems)
Strong understanding of B2B marketing processes, marketing effectiveness frameworks, and data governance
Demonstrated success in leading change management initiatives and internal communications
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Experience building and scaling operational frameworks in complex, global organizations
The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:
Canada - Toronto Office TRO : 154,000 - 232,000 CAD / Annual
Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
