Job Summary

  • Support the Data Center Infrastructure Team in delivering customer projects across Equinix data centers in Finland
  • Take end-to-end ownership of customer project delivery, including technical coordination, documentation, supplier management, and handover to operations
  • Prepare tender documentation and lead technical and commercial contract negotiations in close collaboration with internal stakeholders and suppliers
  • Act as a key interface between customers, suppliers, and internal teams in a highly regulated, safety‑critical data center environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage customer-specific sub-projects within a data center environment, including:
    • Electrical engineering systems
    • Network infrastructure
    • Metal and structural works
    • Physical security systems
    • Access control systems
    • Video surveillance
    • Fire protection and fire detection systems
  • Create and maintain technical specifications for all project scopes
  • Evaluate supplier quotations and participate in technical and commercial negotiations
  • Manage and support suppliers throughout the full project lifecycle, from order placement through commissioning and handover to operations
  • Review technical documentation and ensure compliance with project schedules, cost targets, and Equinix standards
  • Perform supplier acceptance testing and prepare inspection and acceptance documentation
  • Ensure accurate and complete documentation of electrical components and systems in line with local and global requirements
  • Lead and coordinate commissioning activities together with suppliers, including inspection and final acceptance
  • Provide technical leadership and coordination of internal and external project team members
  • Ensure adherence to Finnish regulations, safety standards, and Equinix operational policies

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in data centers, critical infrastructure, or complex technical environments
  • Solid knowledge of project management methodologies and practices
  • Strong IT skills, including MS Office and MS Project
  • Proven ability to work independently in a structured and detail‑oriented manner
  • Strong negotiation skills, assertiveness, and flexibility
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within Finland and the Nordic region, and occasionally across Europe if required

Language Requirements (Mandatory)

  • English – fluent, written and spoken (working language in a global environment)
  • Finnish – fluent, written and spoken (required for local coordination, suppliers, and authorities)
