Job Summary: We are seeking a highly-motivated individual, with strong attention to detail and sufficient expertise and experience, who will be a key contributor to the consolidation function. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of accounting professionals in the global consolidation group.

  • Accountable for the creation of month-end global close calendar.

  • Manage monthly, quarterly and annual global financial statement consolidation process, including complex legal entities structures in the Americas, EMEA and Asia-Pacific regions. Review the Company’s global consolidation for accuracy and completeness.

  • Responsible for timely and accurate calculations and analyses of Other Comprehensive Income (with emphasis on changes in Cumulative Translation Adjustments).

  • Be the Business Process Owner for the global consolidation process and assist in the Company’s Sarbanes-Oxley compliance efforts in connection with the consolidation process.

  • Review analytics of foreign subsidiary and consolidated financial statements to ensure accuracy, US GAAP compliance and adherence to the Company’s policies.

  • Interface effectively with numerous individuals both internally and externally, including the external auditors and external system vendors, to address and resolve accounting and system issues.

  • Partner with M&A team to establish and record beginning balances for M&A transactions.

  • Support M&A team on divestitures. Prepare analyses and supporting schedules to clearly identify assets/businesses being sold, gain/loss calculations and CTA realization.

  • Liaise with Tax, Legal, Treasury, and Accounting teams to implement legal entity reorganizations. Oversee the drafting of the necessary accounting transactions and ensure timely and accurate recording of the transactions.

  • Accurately account for Joint Ventures and/or other types of legal structures, including any non-controlling interests.

  • Responsible for oversight of global accounting reconciliations ensuring all reconciliations have been completed timely per policy for senior Finance management. Communicate proactively with accounting teams on upcoming due dates and missed deadlines.

  • Assist the Company in its pursuit of increased global consistency, increased automation, adoption of best practices and increased accuracy where possible in the Company’s general ledger accounting processes, in particular, around foreign currency accounting.

  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of global consolidations experience with at least 4 years of managerial experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, with a concentration in Accounting or Finance.

  • CPA certification required.

  • Consolidation experience at a multi-billion dollar, global public company with a minimum of 100 entities.

  • Experience with M&A, divestitures and reorganizations.

  • Demonstrated strong operational accounting experience.

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, particularly FASB ASC 830 (formerly FAS 52).

  • Highly developed interpersonal style with emphasis on influencing and building strong longer term relationships particularly across various geographies and cross-functionally; used to working across global time zones.

  • Works collaboratively across boundaries—divisions, functions, geography.

  • A strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and work with limited supervision and within tight deadlines.

  • An eagerness to learn and take on challenges in a rapidly-growing and dynamic environment. Must be a team player.

  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.

  • Experience with Oracle 12, or comparable ERP software, required.
