Job Summary
The Senior Supervisor, Data Center Critical Facilities is responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day critical facilities operations within the data center, ensuring uptime, safety, and compliance with Equinix standards. This role leads front‑line teams, supports operational excellence, and partners closely with Engineering, Security, and Operations stakeholders to deliver a highly reliable customer environment.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise Critical Facilities Technicians and Operators, ensuring 24x7 operational coverage and adherence to operational procedures
Oversee daily operations of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, power, cooling, and life‑safety systems to maintain data center uptime
Ensure compliance with Equinix safety standards, regulatory requirements, and operational policies
Act as an escalation point for incidents, alarms, and abnormal conditions, drive root cause analysis and corrective actions
Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities, including vendor coordination and change management
Partner with Engineering, Construction, Security, and Customer Operations teams to support site initiatives and customer requirements
Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and reports related to incidents, maintenance, and operational performance
Coach, mentor, and develop team members, support performance management and training initiatives
Participate in audits, inspections, and continuous improvement efforts to enhance operational resilience
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in critical facilities, data center operations, or mission‑critical environments
2+ years of people leadership or supervisory experience in an operations or facilities setting
Strong working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems (UPS, generators, switchgear, chillers, HVAC)
Experience responding to incidents and managing escalations in high‑availability environments
Ability to work onsite, including nights, weekends, or on‑call rotations as required
Strong communication, leadership, and cross‑functional collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in large‑scale data centers or colocation environments
Familiarity with change management, CMMS tools, and operational reporting
Relevant certifications (e.g., electrical, mechanical, facilities, or safety certifications)
Experience supporting audits and regulatory compliance activities

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:
United States - DA11 Dallas : 103,000 - 155,000 USD / Annual
Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
