Job Summary
The Project and Program Manager leads the successful delivery of multiple, interrelated projects that support Equinix’s business and operational objectives. This role partners closely with cross‑functional and cross‑regional stakeholders to drive outcomes, manage risk, and deliver complex programs with high visibility and business impact.
Responsibilities
Planning
Applies a range of structured planning approaches to develop, facilitate, and lead complex business cases, program plans, schedules, and financial models (e.g., ROI, cost–benefit analysis).
Utilizes enterprise project and program management tools to build integrated, cross‑functional plans aligned to business strategy.
Anticipates dependencies, constraints, and impacts across teams, systems, and regions to ensure realistic and achievable delivery plans.
Stakeholder Management
Engages with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders, including senior leaders, functional teams, customers, and governance bodies.
Actively listens to understand stakeholder needs and priorities, building trusted and productive relationships.
Applies strong influencing and negotiation skills to align stakeholders, navigate differing perspectives, and resolve challenging situations constructively.
Communications
Adapts communication style and methods (written, verbal, executive‑level presentations) to suit the audience and program needs.
Ensures consistent use of standardized project and program management tools, templates, and reporting mechanisms.
Serves as a subject matter resource for best practices and continuous improvement in program and project management standards.
Risk Management
Identifies, assesses, and manages risks at both the project and program level, with awareness of broader strategic and operational impacts.
Applies analytical and lateral thinking to address issues, evaluate options, and implement effective solutions.
Collaborates with cross‑functional teams to proactively mitigate risks and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Project / Program Delivery
Owns end‑to‑end delivery of multiple related projects that enable a specific business or functional strategy.
Tracks progress, manages dependencies, and ensures delivery against scope, schedule, quality, and financial targets.
Mentors and supports junior project and program team members, fostering capability building and knowledge sharing.
Resource Management (People, Financials, Vendors)
Effectively plans and manages program resources, including people, budgets, and external suppliers.
Addresses resource constraints and budgetary challenges through collaboration, problem solving, and informed decision‑making.
Manages vendor relationships and resolves issues or disputes independently while maintaining strong partnerships.
Customer Care (Customer Care & Experience Roles)
Leads large‑scale, complex, multi‑site and multi‑regional customer deployments involving cross‑functional and cross‑regional teams.
Engages with customer executives at the program level, presenting status, risks, and outcomes clearly and confidently.
Partners with customers to develop integrated program schedules aligned with their business requirements.
Holds internal stakeholders accountable for commitments and delivery milestones.
Maintains a strong working knowledge of Equinix products, services, and operational processes.
Documents lessons learned and shares insights to strengthen future program delivery.
Qualifications
Typically, 7+ years of progressive experience in project and/or program management preferred.
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Engineering, Information Technology) preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
Project or program management certification (e.g., PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP, PgMP, or equivalent) preferred.
The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:
United States - Dallas Infomart Office DAI : 118,000 - 176,000 USD / Annual
Canada - Toronto Office TRO : 112,000 - 162,000 CAD / Annual
Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
