The Business Operations, Expense job family is a subset within FP&A that supports the Operations function and are responsible for transactional & administrative type finance tasks at a Data Center level. A key part of the role is the management of the procure to pay process, including dealing with Account Payables queries and vendor issues. Responsibilities
Business Partnering
This role leads the P2P process. Working as the glue between Payables, IBX sites team, Suppliers and Purchasing
Creation of the Purchase Requests and is the Oracle super user supporting the IBX
Ensure compliance of Purchase Requests (5 W’s), all required contracts/legal approvals, accounting codes and competitive bids
Manages full cycle of contract administrations which includes liaising between legal & IBX teams
Shares insights with business leaders and Finance management as appropriate to improve business operations
Reporting
Creates operations financial reporting documents for Ops Site & Functional Leaders, uses key metrics and insightful variance ana lysis and commentary ( i.e. monthly management deck,
quarterly regional performance reviews, quarterly forecast presentations, budget presentations, etc.) for the purposes of cos t a nalysis
Provides process improvement recommendations
Tracks exact spend against budget by PO/Project (Capex & Opex) using mechanisms such as weekly tracker reviewing commitments
Utilize a planning tool (system) Access to use PBCS tool is ideal
Forecasting
Collect, Consolidate and review of budget inputs and submit to Finance Partners
Provides analysis for quarterly and annual cost and budget forecasts
Highlights actual vs. target discrepancies and trends as appropriate
Provides analysis to compare trends and make sure submissions are within targets
Revise forecast with finance based on factors like actual trends
Qualifications
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Professional accounting certification
Minimum of 5–8 years of solid accounting experience, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory role
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel e.g Marco, pivot table); Capable for Power Query, Power Automate, Python is preferred
Fluent in English, Cantonese and preferably in good Mandarin
Familiar with budget management, cost control, data analysis, and other finance-related tasks
Strong analytical mindset, excellent communication with various sub-team and colleagues, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
