Assistant Manager, Datacentre Operations Engineering

.Job Summary:

Supervises engineers and datacentre site. Assists with testing and coordinating projects and maintenance.
Typically has 2-3 years of people management experience and is fully proficient with each of the responsibilities indicated.

Responsibilities

Management
· Supervises IBX Engineers to ensure that the duties they are undertaking are carried out in a timely manner and projects are progressing as expected
· Manages personnel details to include salaries, positioning, hire/fire, reviews, coaching and development

Site Capacity Management
· Overall site capacity supervision

Project/Infrastructure Management
· Plans, coordinates, budgets, and implements resources to complete projects and maintenance within the data center
· Provides input and guidance towards budget

Vendor Management
· Leads all aspects of contractor work and operations to ensure completion to Equinix's required standards

Testing
· Assists with start up tests, detailing and reporting all problems

Incident Management
Communicates and coordinates activities and on-site staff during an incident
