In the fast-paced world of tech sales, career moves are common. But for some, the journey circles back to where it all began. That’s exactly what happened for Sern Ong, Senior Account Executive, Country Sales, who returned to Equinix—and hasn’t looked back since.
A career built on relationships and growth
Currently a senior account executive on Equinix Singapore’s Field Enterprise Sales team, Sern has been in this role for nearly three years. But his connection and career with our organization began much earlier.
“I spent close to five years on our Channel team, managing relationships with some of our key global system integrator (GSI) partners,” he shares. “That experience gave me a deep understanding of how we collaborate with the broader ecosystem to deliver value to our customers.”
This is his second stint at Equinix, and both roles have offered him a unique lens into different facets of the business—from partner development to direct enterprise sales.

Like many professionals, Sern explored opportunities outside the company. But something important was missing, and he found himself searching for more.
