Job Summary

The Senior Solutions Architect provides advanced technical leadership to support strategic and complex sales engagements across Equinix’s digital infrastructure portfolio. This role partners closely with Sales, Architecture, Product, and cross-functional teams to design, position, and articulate end-to-end solutions that integrate networking, data center, cloud, and enterprise IT environments.

Acting as a trusted technical advisor, the Senior Solutions Architect translates complex customer requirements into scalable, repeatable, and commercially viable solutions aligned with Equinix’s Interconnection-Oriented Architecture (IOA) and global go-to-market strategy.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced solution architecture support to field, global, and channel sales teams throughout complex and consultative sales cycles.
• Partner with Account Executives to define and align customer technology strategies with Equinix’s interconnection and digital infrastructure capabilities.
• Lead customer workshops, technical discovery sessions, and solution design discussions with technical and business stakeholders.
• Design end-to-end architectures across networking, data center infrastructure, cloud platforms, virtualization, and enterprise IT environments.
• Translate customer business requirements and technical constraints into clear solution architectures and value-based narratives.
• Develop solution benefits, value propositions, and business cases to support customer decision-making.
• Prepare and deliver customer-facing presentations, proposals, and technical documentation.
• Support proof-of-concepts, solution validation, and role-play activities as part of the sales process.
• Maintain deep technical expertise across relevant technologies and stay current with industry trends and emerging solutions.
• Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Marketing, and Strategy teams on solution development and go-to-market initiatives.
• Provide technical input on product capabilities, service design, and commercial considerations.
• Support internal enablement by briefing sales teams on new products, features, limitations, and value propositions.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in network architecture, security, data center infrastructure, cloud platforms, virtualization, and enterprise IT environments.
• Solid background in solution design and customer-facing technical roles within commercial or pre-sales environments.
• Demonstrated ability to support complex, consultative sales engagements and influence technical decision-making.
• Strong understanding of interconnection, hybrid cloud, and multi-cloud architectures.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage senior-level customers and internal partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Advanced English proficiency is required.
• Spanish proficiency is considered a plus.
• Industry-recognized certifications in networking, cloud, or virtualization are considered an asset.
