Job Summary

The Senior Legal Specialist collaborates directly with Equinix’s attorneys on various corporate law matters related to governance, regulatory compliance, subsidiary maintenance, and corporate transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and maintains legal aspects of global subsidiaries, including entity formation, corporate restructurings, and general corporate maintenance, coordinating closely with global counterparts

  • Drafts minutes or resolutions of subsidiary shareholder and board meetings for review by the supervising attorney

  • Oversees and manages the performance of external legal service provider to ensure quality and efficiency

  • Coordinates legal due diligence across various corporate transactions, including joint venture setup, monetization, and financing workstreams

  • Supports subsidiary annual meeting process and other regulatory requirements

  • Attends to corporate record keeping

  • Assists with time-sensitive signature requests and other administrative matters, including KYC requests

  • Resolves routine issues and consults with attorneys when legal questions arise that require attorney input

  • Attends to special projects for the Legal Department as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Proven years corporate paralegal experience preferred, combining time at a law firm and at a global public company preferred

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with experience (internal or external) working with business-focused personnel

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines

  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, along with good administrative abilities

  • Ability to take a pragmatic and commercial approach, with the capacity to multi-task and work with limited supervision
