Job Summary:
As we continue to scale the business at Equinix, sales planning will play an increasingly critical role in enabling our success. As a part of the Sales Planning, Americas team, you will collaborate with leadership to set annual and quarterly financial targets including quotas (by industry vertical, territory and sales rep), determine the optimal force deployment (territory definitions, resource allocation by territory etc.) and drive key account planning.
Responsibilities
Provide best-in-class support for one of our U.S.-based sales teams, including territory planning, quota setting, headcount planning, and reporting and analytics
Reinforce clarity of our global customer segmentation and account coverage model while refusing to ignore opportunities to improve on the spirit and intent of the model
Coordinate models and analytics backed by internal and external research to measure sales team performance and plan attainment; synthesize intelligible insights to make GTM recommendations
Provide input into defining GTM model performance measures and reporting requirements in collaboration with the rest of the Sales Planning and Reporting team
Isolate issues and challenges in our sales strategy projects, platforms, tools, and processes and develop recommendations to drive timely resolution
Work directly with sales leadership to coordinate the QBR process, utilize data to understand team performance, trends, and opportunities for growth acceleration
Define an optimal headcount deployment model including territory definitions, resourcing levels and mix of roles by territory
Execute account transitions on an as needed basis
Coordinate with offshore resources to compile, maintain and continuously update intelligence on key accounts (e.g., key executives, strategic priorities, competitors, recent announcements, purchasing triggers etc.)
Requirements
7+ years of experience in Consulting, Business Operations, Sales Operations, or other highly analytical and visible roles with ability to impact the business
Bachelor's degree required
High-energy, high-integrity individual who can simultaneously drive change while sustaining a culture of team play
Very organized with aptitude for attention to detail and objective prioritization to juggle while delivering successfully against multiple projects with limited time
Strong logical reasoning and analytical skills
Track record of building strong relationships with key sales executives and cross-functional partners
Comfort with ambiguity and able to leverage knowledge of sales and sales operations to guide intuition to develop frameworks and support an environment of continuous improvement
Experience with an organization with a minimum of 1 billion in revenue

Experience with Anaplan, Tableau, Incent, and SFDC
