Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual for the role of Critical Facilities Engineer Level IV(4). In this role, you will have the opportunity to take a leading position within the team and use your technical expertise to guide and develop others. You will act as a support for your supervisors and Level V engineers to lead by example, playing the pivotal role of coach to those who need it on the team.
Alongside this, your responsibilities are to maintain and ensure the technical operation of all key infrastructure within the Equinix data centres, ensuring that preventive and corrective maintenance is carried out in a timely and correct manner. You will work closely with subcontractors and be a point of technical reference for those around you.

Responsibilities
Acting as a support to tasks delegated by your supervisors manager
Being a point of contact for others taking onboard others different needs and communication styles
Maintenance of the Technical Facility Management infrastructure (electrical, mechanical, security, control systems, fire and security systems)
Monitoring alarms and responding to notifications
Performing preventive and corrective maintenance
Analyzing failures and proposing improvements to increase infrastructure availability
Taking proactive actions and documenting work orders in the Asset Management System (Maximo)
Operating the technical infrastructure safely and efficiently
Participating in various projects from modification to new construction, including drafting technical specifications, evaluating quotes, and providing advice for contract awards
Coordinating work according to Equinix procedures
Providing daily, weekly, and monthly status reports to the Technical Facility Manager
Training new employees and sharing knowledge within the CFE team
Supporting new installations (customer installations)
Ensuring procedures are followed to achieve the highest level of service
Qualifications
Minimum completed MBO education (preferably in a technical field)
Keen to upskill and develop leadership qualities
Demonstrable work experience as a maintenance technician, facility manager, or service engineer
Service-oriented and solution-focused
Willingness to work on-call shifts
Experience in smaller projects
Motivated and flexible
Based near Amsterdam
