We are looking some who can develop people, manage and enhance their personal and professional development.

The Manager will be expected to help generate a culture of staff wellbeing, engineering agility and excellence whilst ensuring our customers demands are always met.

Job Summary:

Receives objective based assignments, and resolves resources to meet schedules and goals. You will provide mentorship to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies and recommend changes to policies, establishing procedures that affect section or multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities:

Management

• Leads supervisors and professional individual contributors. Guides through well defined management precedents.
• Develops teams to work safely, optimally and with high regard to human error avoidance.
• Runs personnel details including salaries, positioning, hire/fire, reviews, coaching and development.
• Aids in testing, project management, and resolving incidents

Project / Infrastructure Site Management

• Plans, coordinates, reviews budgets, and implements resources to complete projects and maintenance within the datacenters.
• Provides input and guidance towards budgets.
• Overall site capacity management.
• Translates functional plans into operational processes and guides execution.

Vendor Management

• Oversees contractor work and operations to ensure completion to Equinix's required standards, (KPI's) Key Performance Indicators and (SLA's) Service Level Agreements.

Testing

• Ensures accurate processes are followed and all documentation is complete
• Takeover of new builds and building infrastructure
• Writes all (MOP) Maintenance Operation Protocol scripts

Incident Management

• Communicates and coordinates activities and on-site staff during an incident
• Assists with root cause analysis and incident resolution

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years of related experience or equivalent work experience in Critical Facilities environment
• Previous experience or close exposure to Data Centre's
• Consistent track record of leading and managing onsite teams
• Bachelors Degree or Trade Certified in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical or relevant field
