Job Summary
We are looking for Communications Manager, APAC to lead external communications and public relations initiatives in 4-5 markets across the Asia-Pacific region, driving strategies that enhance the company's brand reputation, media presence, and thought leadership. This role partners closely with senior leaders, regional stakeholders, and agency partners to develop compelling narratives, secure high-impact media opportunities, and deliver consistent messaging across key APAC markets.
We are seeking a strategic and business-savvy communications professional with exceptional storytelling and media relations expertise. The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, proactive, and experienced in managing regional PR programs that strengthen brand visibility, influence external stakeholders, and support business growth across APAC.
Responsibilities
Communications Strategy & Planning
Develop and execute strategic communications plans that support business objectives across APAC
Partner with business leaders and key stakeholders to drive effective communication initiatives across multiple markets
Ensure communication plans, deliverables, and milestones are executed on time and aligned with organizational priorities
Proactively identify opportunities to strengthen communications programs and enhance stakeholder engagement
Content Development & Messaging
Collaborate with senior leadership to develop compelling messaging for internal and external audiences
Draft and review a variety of communications materials including press releases, executive speeches, media statements, briefing documents, thought leadership content, and stakeholder communications
Ensure messaging consistency and alignment with corporate communications standards and governance policies
Adapt global messaging for local market relevance, working closely with regional teams and external partners as needed
Media Relations & Thought Leadership
Build and maintain strong relationships with media, industry influencers, and key external stakeholders across APAC
Secure media coverage, speaking engagements, award opportunities, and thought leadership platforms that elevate the company's brand and market presence
Support proactive and reactive media engagement activities, including issues and crisis communications when required
Partner with agency teams to drive successful communications outcomes and maximize media impact
Stakeholder & Agency Management
Manage communications activities across 4–5 APAC markets, ensuring alignment with regional and global priorities
Foster strong partnerships with business leaders, functional teams, and communications colleagues across the organization
Oversee agency performance, ensuring high-quality deliverables, effective collaboration, and adherence to agreed timelines and budgets
Serve as a trusted communications advisor to internal stakeholders
Project Management
Lead end-to-end communications projects from planning through execution and measurement
Coordinate cross-functional teams, establish project timelines, manage priorities, and track deliverables
Facilitate stakeholder meetings and provide regular updates on project status, risks, and outcomes
Ensure seamless execution of communications initiatives across multiple markets and stakeholders
Reporting & Analytics
Track, analyze, and report on communications performance metrics and business impact
Develop regular reporting dashboards and presentations for leadership teams
Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and meaningful insights that inform future communications strategies
Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments to identify opportunities and risks
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field
9+ years of communications, public relations, corporate affairs, or related experience
Experience managing communications programs across multiple APAC markets
Strong writing, editing, storytelling, and content development skills
Proven project management and stakeholder management capabilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence senior leaders
Preferred
Experience in technology, digital infrastructure, telecommunications, or broader B2B industry
Regional public relations and/or agency experience
Experience securing media coverage, speaking engagements, and thought leadership opportunities
Master's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field
