What You Bring to the role:
Are energetic, driven and excited about building and improving experiences for Equinix channel partners
Have proven experience solving problems using existing and new toolsets (Examples may be Salesforce, Siebel, or other tools that you learned quickly and could design to)
Can show that you have quickly mastered one or more nuanced business domains – Channel-related is a bonus but not required – as a business systems analyst
Are good at crafting solutions and driving consensus around best practices
Are results oriented, have strong attention to detail, and are able to prioritize multiple objectives and projects
Are creative, technical and love to bring a bit of fun to work
How You Will Make A Difference:
Bring your expertise, ideas and experience to our newly minted Channel-focused function within the Go To Market team and help build an amazing experience for our Channel partners, their customers, and the business partners who enable them
Build lasting relationships with internal stakeholders across Channel, Sales, Product, Marketing, Care, Legal, Finance and more as you own application solutions from inception to completion
Partner with stakeholders to analyze, define and document business requirements for defined-scope improvements across the Go-To-Market function
Vet data models, technical designs and drive best practices
Develop, own and evangelize functional designs for specific functional areas for major enhancements or projects
Ensure that functional designs meet business needs and are in line with the solution design
Keep up to date with industry trends and vendor capabilities to produce robust functional designs
Own specific modules in the application and develops test cases based on requirements and technical design
Defines test strategy and execution approach to test specific module of an application, clarify defects, triage and coordinate resolution with engineering team
Manage enhancement and project releases for specific modules
Ensures delivery meets release goals, communicate status against key support issues
Document configurations for future use and training
Provide first level resources support, triage and troubleshooting
Work directly with functional SMEs and management team to coordinate training requirements and execution
Support creation of vendor and application technology evaluation plans and presentations and may conduct research, pilot features and document and prepare recommendations for review
A Day In The Life:
Our days vary based on the current phase of projects, but a typical day might include some of the following activities
Join calls to understand as-is practices, diagram them, research solution options, validate with team members across the organization
Read, research, train that brain
Brainstorm with team members and present your ideas, vet them and try to pre-empt flaws
Present some recent research or outcomes from vendor calls/solution evaluations that may be relevant to the space
Help build “visual assets” or newsletters to describe the domain you’re supporting or specific projects to broader teams
Write user stories, test scripts, perform testing and give feedback to users and development teams
Troubleshoot an issue, help triage across teams, keep the business team up to date as you go
Mull over a gap you have noticed and craft a creative way to help clear a misunderstanding or project blockage
Build a spreadsheet to model a business case, mock up a data model or show how one of your proposals might work end to end
Do casual check-ins with stakeholders or team members (we’re a social bunch!)
Mentor an intern, join social activities or dream up the next fun one
5+ years experience in systems analysis and design
Bachelor's in Information Systems, Business or related field
Experience with channel applications analysis a plus
